Multi-Family Renovations That Improve Curb Appeal

Curb appeal is the thing that initially attracts residents to an apartment or condominium complex. That stated, multifamily property owners can do a few things to ensure that the building’s exterior is aesthetically pleasing to prospective and current tenants.

Property owners should make over the facades of the building. This facelift can include renovating the windows, doors, entrances, walkways, and ramps.

Painting can also improve the appearance of a multifamily building. According to a September 2023 article in the real estate publication Multi-Housing News, painting can do wonders for the appearance of a building and offers protection for the siding, stucco, or brick, allowing these surfaces to last longer.

Other suggestions for improving the appearance of a multifamily include laying a new roof on it, improving the gardens, and adding outdoor gathering spaces. Multifamily property owners can increase the chance that their buildings are attractive by sprucing up the green space, including filling in patches with new grass, trimming overgrown hedges and trees, cleaning up trash in the area, and adding planters. Finally, property owners should consider installing solar-powered lighting around the building.
